Hi there! Thanks for viewing my site. The idea for it came about when I discovered I not only loved football, but I also love writing about it.
I was brought up with football being on the agenda every Saturday afternoon. When my Dad wasn’t taking me to watch Chelsea, we were at the local non-league side, Kingstonian. As a result, I’ve travelled all over the UK and also to various countries in Europe watching games.
As a grown up, I have continued to travel and have even lived in New Zealand and South Africa. Wherever I go in the world, I am always looking to get to games and collect a local shirt or two, which has lead to me having possibly the rarest collection of football shirts around!!!
These days I can by found either at the Bridge or watching Hayes & Yeading United of the Conference South on a Saturday afternoon. The rest of the time is spent in front of football on the TV from anywhere I can find.
The aim of my blog is not to spend lots of time covering the big and moneyed leagues of Europe and South America. As we all know, there are plenty of sites dedicated to those already. This site aims to champion the underdog and what I consider to be the more “interesting” hotbeds of football. So I hope you enjoy reading and I welcome any critique you may have, positive or negative. Feel free to contact me here.
Yours in football,
